Privacy policy
How we handle what you send us.
MM Law Solicitors Limited is a solicitors practice registered in England and Wales. We provide personal and business legal services entirely remotely, by telephone, video and secure document exchange.
This site does not place advertising cookies and you can read the site without accepting any. Contact details are used only to reply to you.
What we collect
If you submit the consultation form we receive the name, email address, phone number and description you choose to give us. If you telephone us we may take a short note of your name and contact details so we can call you back.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, to open and run a legal file if you instruct us, and to meet our professional and legal obligations. We do not sell your details and we do not use them for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become files are deleted within 12 months. Files are retained for the period required by our professional rules, normally six years from the end of the matter, after which they are securely destroyed.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider processes the data on our behalf. Where a matter requires it, we may need to instruct counsel, experts or official bodies such as HM Courts & Tribunals Service — and we will tell you when that happens.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to info@mmlawsolicitors.net.
Cancellation and your rights
You may cancel an instruction to us at any time before work begins, in writing, and we will confirm in writing that we have stopped. Where work has already been done, we will not refund fees for it, but we will not charge for work not yet carried out, and any money paid in advance for work not started is returned.
If you are a consumer and something has gone wrong, write to us first. Most matters can be put right quickly. If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to the Legal Ombudsman. Nothing in these terms limits your cancellation rights under a contract you hold with us.
Changes
We will update this page if our practice changes in a way that affects how we use your information.
